Sprue picker
igus®
$9,263.29
The IAP1 was developed for use with stripper and ejector molds.
Product Description
The IAP1 was developed for use with stripper and ejector molds.
It features a dynamic, electrically driven 1-axis picker that uses lubricant-free igus® plain bearing materials for smooth motion via a link guide, spindle, and drive technology.
Designed for automating or retrofitting small injection molding machines, the picker enables fast sprue removal and separation in confined spaces.
It can be fully integrated within the molding machine's standard protective housing and achieves a complete mold open and close cycle in just 1.25 seconds.
The modular design allows customization of the base to fit various machine types.
Three variants are available to suit different integration needs.
Key Highlights:
- Designed specifically for stripper and ejector molds
- Lateral sprue ejection for efficient removal
- 1-axis system with electric drive
- Fast cycle time of just 1.25 seconds (open to close)
- Fully lubricant-free for clean and maintenance-friendly operation
- Built to operate continuously 24/7
- Wear parts engineered for quick and easy replacement
The sprue picker features a modular design built for durability and precision, incorporating igus® high-performance polymer components to ensure smooth, maintenance-free operation:
- drylin® W profile rail guides provide low-friction linear motion with high rigidity
- dryspin® threaded nuts and spindles enable precise and reliable drive actuation without lubrication
- Flat guide drylin® N ensures stable and accurate guidance of moving parts
- iglidur® J plain bearing reduce wear and extend service life in critical pivot points
- iglidur® semi-finished plastic products are used to manufacture customized wear parts and components for optimal fit and performance
This combination of modular polymer components delivers a lightweight, lubricant-free system designed for continuous 24/7 operation with minimal maintenance.
