The igus DLE-RG-0003 is a three-axis room gantry robot designed for repeatable motion tasks in a compact 800x800x500 mm work envelope.
This 14.9 kg system handles payloads up to 5 kg with 0.5 mm repeatability and operates at speeds up to 0.5 m/s, achieving up to 20 picks per minute.
Applications include pick and place operations, laboratory automation, packaging, light assembly, adhesive handling, vertical farming, and bin-picking when paired with compatible camera systems and grippers.
Control is provided through igus Robot Control or the Dryve D1 controller, with protocol support for Modbus TCP/IP, CANopen, ROS, digital I/O, and LabVIEW.
Programming is performed via a graphical 3D interface on a Windows 10 PC.
An optional handheld with touchscreen and joystick allows manual control and program execution; alternatively, a gamepad connected to the Windows PC serves the same function.
Once programmed, the robot operates autonomously when used with the handheld unit.
The system is suited for small and medium manufacturers, research laboratories, and industrial facilities requiring efficient, low-maintenance automation in medium-sized workspaces.
