The igus ReBeL cobot configured with an integrated seventh axis extends workspace reach to 5800 mm based on configuration, maintaining 2 kg payload capacity and 1 mm repeatability across the extended envelope.
This system integrates a ReBeL cobot with a drylin ZLW-20200 belt-driven linear axis as a seventh axis, offering a 1500 mm stroke and extending total system reach up to 5800 mm depending on configuration.
The package maintains a 2 kg payload capacity with 1 mm repeatability across the workspace.
The seven degrees of freedom enable coverage of multiple stations, extended part handling, and access to work areas beyond the reach of a fixed-base cobot.
The seventh axis connects directly to the igus Robot Control system via CAN bus and operates as a synchronized external axis, allowing simultaneous coordinated motion of the linear axis and robot arm.
The controller supports Modbus TCP/IP, ROS, CANopen, and digital I/O protocols.
Software is provided at no charge.
The drylin ZLW-20200 axis uses tribologically optimized polymer bearings that require no external lubrication.
The axis can be mounted horizontally or overhead depending on application requirements.
