This integrated system pairs an igus ReBeL collaborative robot with a drylin ZLW-20200 belt-driven linear seventh axis, creating a 7-DOF automation solution.
The configuration supports a 2 kg payload, up to 5800 mm reach based on setup, and 1.5 mm repeatability.
Maximum speed is 0.3 m/s.
The seventh axis integrates directly with igus Robot Control via CAN bus, allowing synchronized movement of the linear axis and robot arm as a unified external axis system.
Control protocols include Modbus TCP/IP, ROS, CANopen, and digital I/O.
Free software is provided with the system.
The belt-driven axis utilizes tribologically optimized plastics that require no additional lubrication, supporting both horizontal and overhead mounting orientations.
