Automated cold-plasma surface activation unit with CAN-bus interface and 370-gram compact design for inline integration.

The relyon plasma Piezobrush is an automated cold-plasma unit designed for inline surface activation in industrial production environments.

Weighing 0.386 kg and consuming 18 W, the system generates cold-active plasma below 50 °C for safe treatment of heat-sensitive substrates.

The integrated CAN-bus interface enables advanced process control and communication with reduced cabling requirements.

Treatment speed varies by application: 1–15 mm/s for finest cleaning, 10–150 mm/s for bonding processes, and 10–150 mm/s for printing applications.

Average treatment width spans 5–29 mm when using compressed dry air, with widths up to 50 mm achievable using alternative process gases such as nitrogen.

The modular architecture allows multiple units to be arranged in series for wider treatment areas.

Surface activation performance depends on substrate conductivity.

The Module Standard is suited for non-conductive materials including plastics, ceramics, and glass, while the Module Nearfield handles electrically conductive substrates such as metals, CFRP, ITO, and conductive plastics.

The unit ships without modules and is configured with separately selected exchange modules.

Typical applications include bonding, printing, labeling, microfluidics, and packaging where controlled, localized plasma treatment is required.
