Compact cold‑plasma integration unit with CAN‑bus interface for automated surface activation.
Product Description
The PiezoBrush PZ3-i with CAN-bus interface enables efficient inline plasma pretreatment in both new and existing production environments.
Its ultra-compact 370-gram design and low power consumption of only 18 W make it ideal for continuous automated workflows where precision and energy efficiency matter.
The system generates cold-active plasma below 50 °C, ensuring safe treatment even on heat-sensitive materials.
Designed for integration into industrial automation, the CAN-bus interface provides advanced process control and communication while minimizing cabling.
Typical treatment speeds span from ultra-fine cleaning to high-speed printing applications, and treatment widths of 5–29 mm (up to 50 mm with specific gases) support a wide range of material types.
The unit is delivered without modules and can be combined with various exchange modules for optimized surface activation.
Ideal for bonding, printing, labeling, microfluidics, packaging and applications requiring consistent, localized plasma treatment.
The piezobrush® PZ3-i can be easily integrated into new and existing production lines.
The typical treatment speed varies depending on the application.
For finest cleaning, a treatment speed of 1 - 15 mm/s is possible, for gluing processes of 10 - 150 mm/s and for printing processes of 10 - 150 mm/s.
Different surfaces have to be activated with the appropriate accessories, the choice depending on the electrical conductivity of the component to be treated.
While the Module Standard is ideally suited for the surface treatment of non-conductive substrates such as plastics, ceramics or glasses, the Module Nearfield was designed for the treatment of electrically conductive materials such as metals, CFRP, indium tin oxide (ITO) or conductive plastics.
With an average treatment width of 5 - 29 mm (CDA), the compact piezobrush® PZ3-i is very well suited for the pretreatment of adhesive grooves or for marking printing on low-energy materials.
However, with other process gases such as nitrogen, treatment widths of up to 50 mm are possible.
The modular design of the piezobrush® PZ3-i enables stringing together individual units at any time, so that larger treatment widths can be achieved.
