Pneumatic Bernoulli gripper that lifts sensitive, thin, or porous materials without physical contact using compressed air and the Bernoulli principle.
This SMC no-contact vacuum gripper uses the Bernoulli principle to lift and handle workpieces without physical contact, eliminating surface marking or damage to delicate materials.
Operating on clean compressed air through standard pneumatic systems, the gripper generates a lifting force of up to 28.3 N and functions in ambient temperatures up to 80 °C.
The design is suited to handling materials such as thin films, cloth, PCBs, bubble wrap, and air-permeable or perforated parts where conventional vacuum cups would fail or leave marks.
Bernoulli grippers create a thin air cushion that suspends the workpiece, reducing vibration and deflection during transfer.
This unit is compatible with standard pneumatic automation systems and requires only a supply of clean compressed air.
Typical applications include non-contact transfer of packaging films, fragile sheets, electronic circuit boards, and other surfaces where mechanical contact must be avoided.
