This igus seventh axis rail system provides linear travel extension for Universal Robots UR3, UR5, UR10, and UR16 collaborative robot arms.
The system delivers travel speeds up to 0.6 m/s with positional repeatability of ±0.3 mm, enabling expanded workspace coverage up to four times the robot's standard reach.
This 2000 mm stroke length unit uses a brushless DC motor and supports maximum radial loads of 500 N and axial loads of 250 N.
The axis integrates with Universal Robots controllers through URCap software, allowing coordinated motion programming within the standard UR interface.
Stroke lengths up to 3000 mm are available, with custom lengths offered upon request.
The system is supplied with a controller but does not include cable management chain.
Common applications include machine tending across multiple stations, extended welding or dispensing runs, and parts handling operations requiring linear traverse beyond the robot's native envelope.
